Subject: Backup VAP Error "Encountered Header type AAAA..."
Date: September 27, 1990
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
PROBLEM: The error message "Encountered Header type AAAA instead of
BBBB" appears when doing a RESTORE.
SOLUTION: The problem is due to the syntax of the BACKUP command. If
you simply type in "BACKUP" instead of "BACKUP [filepath]",
the error message will show up during the restore. It
occurs with certain 150MB tape drives. In this case it was
the Wangtek PC02 kit which contains a Wangtek 5150EQ 150MB
tape drive. To avoid the problem, type in a path after the
BACKUP command.
